Erg chigaga tour
tour to Erg Chigaga : from Mhamid
Full description
Leaving the village at 10:30 am in a four-wheel drive car, passing through some sand dunes and taking some pictures of camels grazing next to acacia trees. After that, go to the location of the fossils that are millions of years old, which are small animals stuck in the rocks during different eras. After that, head to the only sacred oasis in the Mhamid Desert. It has become an important place for some wild animals and migratory birds because it is an open place for all living creatures. Have lunch under the shade of palm trees near the oasis or with some of the Bedouin families who still live there (if there is a Berber family, we can watch how they cook the sand bread that is cooked in the sand. The name of this bread is lmalla). After lunch, head to the largest sand dune in Morocco, Erg Chigaga. After arriving at the camp, you can ride a camel between the sand dunes with a person belonging to the Bedouin tribes. You can also go sandboarding, enjoy walking barefoot on the golden sand, or climb on dunes to enjoy the sunset. Dinner and overnight at the camp. Return to Mhamid after breakfast.
