7 Days Best of Kenya Wildlife Safari takes you from Nairobi to the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro in Amboseli National Park for two days before retreating, through Nairobi to Lake Nakuru at the bottom of the Great Rift Valley; and climaxing at the Maasai Mara National Park - renowned worldwide for its large population of wildlife.
This trip covers the best and most popular game parks in Kenya over a period of one week. Amboseli is renowned for its numerous elephants apart from other wildlife species including antelopes, giraffes, zebras, hippos, lions, hyenas and jackals. The birdlife in this animal sanctuary is also prolific.
Lake Nakuru is home to hundreds of thousands of pink flamingos and other migratory birds. It is also a sanctuary of endangered rhinos apart from many more wildlife species.
The last park we visit is the Maasai Mara with its spectacular sights. This is the location of the Great Wildebeest Migration where hundreds of thousands of these great antelopes travel from the grasslands of Northern Tanzania to the plains of the Masai Mara in search of pasture and water; and to give birth.The Maasai Mara, now The New 7th Wonder of the World and 4th most preferred tourist destination in the world is a home to wildlife in such abundance and variety that it is difficult to imagine. The most spectacular event of the natural world takes place here; The annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture while being followed on their heels by the predators of the savanna; lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. It also hosts over 450 species of animals which include lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephants.
Transport is in 4x4 wheel drive Land-cruisers with pop-up roofs for elevated game-viewing and photography, and this guided tour is done by professional and experienced driver guides conversant with the roads, the wildlife and botanical species that occupy this part of Africa.
