Where Is Ait Benhaddou?
Ait Benhaddou is located in the Ouarzazate province of southeastern Morocco, nestled amidst the stunning scenery of the Atlas Mountains.
It’s about 180 kilometers (112 miles) east of Marrakech, which makes it a long but popular day trip for visitors to the city.
Located in the stunning Ounila Valley, along one of the main trans-Saharan trade routes, the village was one of the last staging posts before the Tizi n’Tichka pass; one of the few passes through the Atlas Mountains.
