Day Tour to Cairo Pyramids from Hurghada

You just have to experience Cairo and to see the famous Pyramids of Giza, the Egyptian Museum and the treasures of the young king Tutankhamun!

Trip description:

The excursion starts early morning at around 2 a.m. when you are picked up from the hotel (It is useful to pre-order breakfast boxes at reception and pick it up before departure). The trip to Cairo from Hurghada takes 5 hours (from Makadi, you have to expect an hour more). With a short break you will reach Cairo at around 8 a.m. Here you can start the program with Giza Plateu or with the Egyptian Museum.

On the Giza Plateu you can definitely come close to the Pyramids and the Sphinx. You can get inside the pyramid for an extra fee. Egypt has dozens of Pyramids discovered, however you will find the most famous ones: Khufu (the only standing Ancient World Wonder from Seven Ancient World Wonders), Khefre, Mykerinos. Solar boat of Khufu is standing right next to the monuments and you can see it by entering special "museum" place. The boat was built to help Khufu to sail to afterlife, once he needs to cross the River of Dead. Solar boat was buried next to his Pyramids and was discovered in 1954 (undisturbed since it was sealed into a pit carved out of the Giza bedrock).

After lunch (included without drinks) we go to the museum. Egyptian Museum is great collection of around 120 000 artifacts from all the historical times of the country. The most famous and precious is collection of Tutankhamun's treasure. Howard Carter's discovery from Luxor's tomb in 1922 made the young pharaoh well known. Don't miss to see his golden sarcophagus by your own eyes! This is the one and original!

You can walk hours and hours inside the Museum and you can still find the new exponents you will find interested in!

As in all our trips, we are giving you local licensed guide, who will explain you everything, give you tips on places worth of visiting (may you can already plan longer visit over here). You can visit as example the Papyrus Institute or perfumery with original flower essences. Take some money with you to buy souvenirs..... The program ends there around 5 p.m. and you drive directly to Hurghada.
