KILIMANJARO TREKKING

Arrival day: Our driver will pick you at Kilimanjaro Airport and drive you to the Hotel in Moshi Town. Later you will meet with your trekking team (Guide) and attend a pre-climb briefing and Gear checking.

DAY 1:Moshi-Marangu Gate-Mandara Hut

• Drive to Marangu Gate About 1 hour from Moshi).

• Register with the Kilimanjaro National

Park Authorities.

• Begin the trek through rainforest to

Mandara Hut (2720m)

• Overnight at Mandara Hut.

DAY 2: Manadara Hut-Horombo Hut

• Trek through the rainforest and into the

Heath Zone

• Pass through Maundi Crater for a view of

Kibo Peak.

• Continue to Horombo Hut (3720m)

• Overnight at Horombo Hut.

DAY 3: Horombo Hut-Kibo Hut

• Ascend to the "Saddle" between Mawenzi and

Kibo Peaks.

• Pass through the lunar desert landscape.

• Arrive at Kibo Hut (4703m)

• Rest and prepare for the Summit push.

DAY 4: Summit Day-Kibo Hut-Uhuru Peak-Horombo Hut.

• Begin the summit attemp in the midnight at

12:00 am after hot tea and snacks you will your journey.

• Ascend to Gillman's point (5685m) on the crater rim.

• Continue to Uhuru Peak (5895) the highest point in Africa

• Descend back to Kibo Hut for a short rest.

• Descend further to Horombo Hut.

• Overnight at Horombo Hut.

DAY 5: Horombo Hut-Marangu Gate

• Descend through the rainforest to Marangu

Gate

• Receive your Summit Certificate at the gate.

• transfer back to Moshi at the Hotel for celebrations and rest.

MOSHI-KILIMANJARO AIRPORT

• After breakfast you will be transferred to the Kilimanjaro Airport.
