Day 1: Visit to Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage

Your tour begins at 9:00 AM, when a Jossec Safaris guide will pick you up from your hotel or residence in Nairobi. From there, you'll take a scenic drive about 20 kilometers out of the city towards Nairobi National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll go through a brief screening before entering the elephant viewing area.

Here, you'll watch young orphaned elephants being bottle-fed by their keepers and playing in the mud—a crucial part of their natural behavior. The mud helps them regulate their body temperature and remove parasites like ticks. Their playful interactions and personal stories of survival make for an unforgettable experience.

By midday, your visit concludes, and we’ll take you to a nearby garden restaurant for a delightful lunch.
