Road Trip to the Charyn Canyon
Witness the majestic Charyn Canyon, also known as the "little brother" of the famous American Grand Canyon! Enjoy the fascinating views of the rugged red stone landscape and engage in a thrilling and adventurous road trip that will give you an ideal glimpse of the Kazakh countryside. Only around 200km from Almaty, a unique destination awaits, offering a breathtaking blend of natural wonders and awe-inspiring landscapes. As you explore the canyon, you'll be treated to stunning vistas, including the iconic "Valley of Castles," where towering rock pillars stand sentinel over the winding Charyn River.
It is a one-day trip that starts at between 8am and 10am, and lasts about 9-10 hours. We pick you up from your hotel (or hostel, or apartment) and together we head for the canyon. It takes around 3 hours to cover that distance. Only transportation and ecopost are included in the excursion price. Food and any other activities are excluded. The return to the city is scheduled at 6pm - 8pm. The group can be up to 3 people or even more depending on a car. Please ask those details before the trip.
