Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara (Approx. 5-6 hours drive)

You'll be picked up from your Nairobi hotel by our Jossec Safaris team in the morning. After a short safari briefing, begin the scenic drive to Masai Mara National Reserve, passing through the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive where you may encounter elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and if lucky, a cheetah or leopard.

Day 2: Full Day Masai Mara Safari

Today is dedicated to exploring the Mara. With picnic lunches, you'll spend the whole day searching for the Big Five and witnessing the vast landscapes and dramatic wildlife interactions. Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at USD 450 per person.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru (Approx. 5 hours)

After breakfast, enjoy a short morning drive as you exit the reserve and head to Lake Nakuru. The lake is famous for its flamingos and is also home to endangered rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, and lions. You’ll arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive inside the park.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha (Approx. 1.5 hours)

After breakfast, drive to Lake Naivasha, a peaceful freshwater lake surrounded by wildlife and local farms. You can enjoy an optional boat ride on the lake at your own cost and visit Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and gazelles.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli National Park (Approx. 5-6 hours)

After an early breakfast, head south towards Amboseli National Park, located near the border with Tanzania and famous for its large herds of elephants and views of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Arrive in the afternoon and enjoy a game drive en route to the lodge.

Day 6: Full Day in Amboseli National Park

Day 7: Amboseli to Nairobi (Approx. 4-5 hours)

After breakfast, check out and enjoy a brief game drive as you exit the park. You'll then drive back to Nairobi, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel or airport by the Jossec Safaris team.
