Day Trip to Tarangire National Park
We will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel in Arusha, and we will drive to Tarangire National Park. The park covers an area of 2 600 km² situated 120 km south of Arusha. This park is far from being the biggest of the Tanzania parks. Still, it has an unrivalled landscape of open plains, dotted with thousands of its baobab trees and splendid vistas of rolling savannah and acacia woodland, and it is mainly known for the largest herds of elephants and buffalo. This is one of Africa's little-known gems and should be on the itinerary of all lovers of wilderness and solitude.
During our game drives, we might see Zebras, Wildebeest, Buffalo, Elephants, and Maasai giraffes. Predators include lion, cheetah, and leopard; birders will want to look out for the endemic Ashy starling, Rufous-tailed weaver, and black-collared lovebird.
Packed lunch is served at the picnic site, and later in the afternoon, drive back to Arusha.
