3-Day Calving Season Special: Serengeti Life Cycle

Witness the world’s most spectacular wildlife event: the Wildebeest Calving Season. This 3-day journey takes you to the short-grass plains of Ndutu, where half a million wildebeest calves are born within a few weeks. This abundance of life attracts an incredible density of lions, cheetahs, and leopards. After two nights immersed in the wild, you will conclude your journey with a descent into the "8th Wonder of the World," the Ngorongoro Crater.

Day-by-Day Details...

Day 1: Arusha/Airport to the Southern Serengeti(Ndutu Plains).

Your safari begins at 08:00 AM. We pick you up from Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport and begin the journey toward the Southern Serengeti (Ndutu region).

The journey takes approximately 5.5 to 6 hours (about 280km). You will drive through the lush highlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering breathtaking views of the Rift Valley along the way.

Day 2: Southern Serengeti, Full Day in the Calving Grounds.

Today is dedicated to the vast, open plains of Ndutu. We spend the full day tracking the migration. This is the peak of the calving season, and you are likely to see thousands of newborns taking their first steps. Because the calves are vulnerable, predator activity is at its highest—watch for cheetahs using the slight elevations to scout for their next hunt.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater & Departure.

After an early breakfast, we leave Ndutu and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater.

We descend 600 meters into the crater floor for a spectacular game drive. This self-contained ecosystem is home to roughly 30,000 animals, including the rare Black Rhino. You will enjoy a picnic lunch by the Hippo Pool before we begin our ascent.

Departure: We drive back toward Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon. We will drop you off at the airport for your evening flight or at your hotel.
