Travel with purpose through community building in Nepal.

This 14-day volunteering experience lets you work alongside local communities to build safer schools, homes, and shared spaces while living with a host family in the Himalayas. More than a trip, it’s a meaningful journey of cultural connection, skill-sharing, and lasting impact for a stronger future.

Week Plan

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

When you land at the main airport (KTM), a staff member from our group will greet you. They will take you to your hotel. Use this first day to rest and get ready for the trip ahead.

Day 2: Kathmandu: Learning and Sightseeing

Your day starts with a training session. You will learn about Nepali culture, local customs, and some basic words. This training is important for you to fit in and work well with the community. In the afternoon, you will visit some old places in Kathmandu. You will see sites like the Swayambhunath Stupa, also called the Monkey Temple. This will help you understand the rich history of the land you are about to help.

Day 3: The Journey to the Community

Today you will travel from the busy city to the village where you will work. The trip itself is an adventure. You will see amazing views of farms on hillsides. When you get there, the community will give you a warm welcome. You will meet your host family, who will be your family for the next ten nights.

Days 4 - 11: The Main Work

This is where your help really counts. Here is a typical day:

Morning (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM): After a Nepali breakfast with your host family, you will go to the work site. Local supervisors, who are very skilled, will show you what to do. You may dig for a foundation, mix cement, lay bricks, do wood work, or paint.

Lunch (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM): You will eat a large lunch with the other volunteers and local people. The meal is often Dal Bhat, which is lentil soup with rice.

Afternoon (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM): You will keep working on the building project. This is a time to work as a team and see the project grow.

Evening: Your evenings are for sharing culture. You can help cook dinner, play with the children, tell stories with your host family, or just rest and think about the day's work.

Day 12: Finishing and Farewell

You will spend the morning putting the last touches on the project. In the afternoon, the community will host a farewell party to thank you for your help. There will be music and dancing. You will say goodbye to your new friends. This will be an emotional and rewarding time you will not forget.

Day 13: The Return to Kathmandu

After a last breakfast with your host family, you will travel back to Kathmandu. The evening is free. You can have a special dinner with the other volunteers and talk about your shared experience.

Day 14: Departure

Enjoy a final Nepali breakfast. Then, you will be taken to the airport for your flight home. You can also choose to stay longer to see more of Nepal.
