Day 1:Kalikasthan Thulakot Day Hike from Begnas Lake, Pokhara
Pickup and Drive from the Hotel to Begnas Lake
The representatives from Green Valley Nepal Treks will pick you up in the morning and take you on a scenic drive to Begnas Lake. Here, you can watch the serenity of Begnas Lake with blue water flowing with the morning breeze.
Ascend To Kalikasthan Village (1370 Meters)
From Begnas Lake, the day hike towards Thulakot commences. However, you will first strike into the beautiful Kalikasthan village. Gurungs sparsely populate the village with traditional houses and cultural ways of living.
Once you reach Kalikasthan, you will be amazed by the way they live, their hospitality, and also the beauty of this village. Besides, the Kalikasthan village also provides magnificent views of the Annapurna Massif and an exclusive glimpse into the local culture.
Hike Towards Thulakot (1800 Meters)
After spending some time with the Gurungs and admiring the Kalikasthan Village, you will again start the second phase of the hike. This time your destination would be another village located at an altitude of 1800 meters, Thulakot (Thulkote). Here, you see that the number of people and houses is slightly more than that in the Kalikasthan village. However, the peace, serenity, and beauty of nature remain the same.
Besides, from this village, you can get one of the most amazing views of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre along with the beautiful Pokhara valley. Furthermore, the place also offers you an aerial or bird-eye view of the Five Lakes of Pokhara: Begnas, Maidi, Khaste, Nyureni, and Phewa Lake, and all from one spot.
If you feel hungry, which you will after such a long walk, you can have lunch at Thulkote. The local tea houses are the perfect place to have lunch because they serve the most local food items that reflect the beauty of this place and the hospitality of the people living here.
Time to Return to Begnas Lake
After having lunch, watching some mind-blowing views, and spending some quality time with the locals and nature, you will be set on a journey back to Begnas Lake. This downward walk still offers similar vibes as nature is always accompanying us. While on return, you will be stopped by a village named Kaulekote. You may quickly explore the village because you still have a lot to descend. From Kaulekote, it takes around 3 hours to reach the end of Begnas Lake.
From Begnas Lake, you get on the boat to cross the lake and from there a representative from Green Valley Nepal Treks will drive you back to your hotel, marking the end of the Kalikasthan Day Hike (Thulakot Hiking from Begnas Lake).

Día 1: Excursión de un día a Kalikasthan Thulakot desde el lago Begnas, Pokhara
Recogida y traslado desde el hotel al lago Begnas
Los representantes de Green Valley Nepal Treks lo recogerán por la mañana y lo llevarán en un recorrido panorámico hasta el lago Begnas. Aquí, podrá contemplar la serenidad del lago Begnas, con sus aguas azules fluyendo con la brisa matutina.
Ascenso al pueblo de Kalikasthan (1370 metros)
Desde el lago Begnas, comienza la excursión de un día hacia Thulakot. Sin embargo, primero visitará el hermoso pueblo de Kalikasthan. Los gurungs habitan escasamente el pueblo con casas tradicionales y formas de vida culturales.
Una vez que llegue a Kalikasthan, se sorprenderá con su estilo de vida, su hospitalidad y la belleza de este pueblo. Además, el pueblo de Kalikasthan también ofrece magníficas vistas del macizo del Annapurna y una visión exclusiva de la cultura local. Caminata hacia Thulakot (1800 metros)
Tras pasar un rato con los gurungs y admirar el pueblo de Kalikasthan, comenzará la segunda etapa de la caminata. Esta vez, su destino será otro pueblo situado a 1800 metros de altitud, Thulakot (Thulkote). Aquí, podrá observar que la población y las casas son ligeramente superiores a las del pueblo de Kalikasthan. Sin embargo, la paz, la serenidad y la belleza de la naturaleza se mantienen intactas.
Además, desde este pueblo, podrá disfrutar de una de las vistas más impresionantes del Annapurna y Machhapuchhre, así como del hermoso valle de Pokhara. Además, el lugar también ofrece una vista aérea o de pájaro de los cinco lagos de Pokhara: Begnas, Maidi, Khaste, Nyureni y el lago Phewa, todo desde un mismo lugar.
Si tiene hambre, como ocurrirá después de una caminata tan larga, puede almorzar en Thulkote. Las casas de té locales son el lugar perfecto para almorzar, ya que sirven la gastronomía más local, reflejando la belleza del lugar y la hospitalidad de sus habitantes.
Regreso al lago Begnas
Después de almorzar, contemplar unas vistas impresionantes y pasar un buen rato con los lugareños y la naturaleza, emprenderá el regreso al lago Begnas. Esta caminata descendente ofrece una atmósfera similar, ya que la naturaleza siempre nos acompaña. De regreso, visitará un pueblo llamado Kaulekote. Podrá explorarlo rápidamente, ya que aún queda mucho por descender. Desde Kaulekote, se tarda unas 3 horas en llegar al final del lago Begnas.
Desde el lago Begnas, tomará el barco para cruzar el lago y, desde allí, un representante de Green Valley Nepal Treks le llevará de regreso a su hotel, marcando el final de la caminata de un día por Kalikasthan (senderismo a Thulakot desde el lago Begnas).
