I highly recommend Sagar as your guide in Dharavi. He is very professional, friendly, intelligent and will teach you all about Dharavi; it's history, it's development, the people, the different areas, religion there etc., and is passionate about telling you how life really is in Dharavi.
He doesn't just show you the areas, he stops and tells you all about them. Sagar also knows a lot of people that live in Dharavi so he has access to many areas and will show you both the industrial and residential side. Top bloke.

My trip to Mumbai was memorable and wonderful. Sagar showed me several interesting sites, beautiful temples colorful markets, and different neighborhoods as well as a day trip to the Elephanta Island. He was knowledgeable and engaging. I learned a lot during my four-day visit. I was also impressed with how he adjusted and personalized the itinerary after my first day. He was observant, understanding and friendly.
I will always remember when we went to local restaurants. The food was absolutely out of this world!! Best of all, Saga encouraged me to eat with my bare hands like the locals, a true Indian food experience !!!
The Dhavari visit was a surprise. Everyone seemed busy doing something to earn a living. The walk along the main road in the township and through all the alleys enabled me to see the way of life and feel the strong sense of community pride.

The local train ride was so much fun though it was as crowded as I had had in mind.

My four-day visit gave me different experiences which were made possible by Sagar. I could not thank him enough.
