2 Days Tour From Marrakech To Zagora Desert

Pick up at 08:00 am at the hotel where they are staying in Marrakech and departure to the mountains of the High Atlas through the Tizi stops N’Tichka with panoramic views, where we can see many Berber villages that are in this region.Continue south and then turn off onto a track of 6 km that will take the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou , visit its famous Kasbah ( Declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1986).In this spectacular setting were filmed several famous films like Gladiator, Obelix , Jewel of the Nile , Sahara with Penelope Cruz … etc .Lunch in the village and in the afternoon we will continue towards Zagora through the Anti Atlas mountains where it is worth making a few stops to take pictures.Further 2 hours drive we arrive at our destination * * Desert Zagora about 17h or so.Leave the car to ride camels for a 1 hour drive and head for camp Haimas to attend the sunset .After dinner we will wait a music Berber drums .Overnight at camp Haimas nomads in the heart of the desert under the stars.

Day 2 : Zagora – Draa Valley – Anti Atlas – High Atlas – Marrakech

We wake up before dawn to watch the sunrise in the dunes near the camp.Breakfast and return on camels to the town of Zagora to leave our car towards the Draa Valley , where we will make several stops to enjoy this beautiful valley that runs along the river that bears the same name.It is the longest river in Morocco and across the whole country to Mauritania for over 240km .Cross the Anti Atlas to reach Ouarzazate , where we visit the Kasbah of Taourirt , Film Studies , Film Museum if desired , then depart for Marrakech via the Tizi N ‘ Tichka where we stopped for lunch.2 hours later arrive in Marrakech , transfer to hotel and end of our services.

In the small desert Zagora no high dunes and is not the great desert you expect to see , so if your interest is to sleep in the middle of the highest dunes in Morocco , we recommend the route of three days to desert Merzouga
