Annecy — the Venice of the Alps
Dear Guests,
I invite you to join me on a guided tour to Annecy (France). As the American writer H. Jackson Brown once said, “The best moments in life happen by chance.”
Annecy is often called the Venice of the Alps, as wherever you look, there is water, and its turquoise color is truly impressive. The town lies at an altitude ranging from 418 to 926 meters above sea level and is surrounded by mountains that hide the horizon. This scenery is captivating, intoxicating, and truly mesmerizing.
Annecy is a charming and picturesque town with distinctive architecture, located on the shores of the lake of the same name. The city has a long history dating back to Roman times. Its golden age falls during the period of the Counter-Reformation (16th century). During our walk, you will discover the most fascinating facts about this wonderful place, stroll through narrow streets and curious alleyways, admire houses from different eras and architectural styles, visit shops offering local products, and much more.
