A City Tour of Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa, is currently and the fourth capital city of Ethiopia, which was founded in 1887 by Emperor Menelik II.
It is home to more than 90 diplomatic missionaries, international organizations, and where the headquarter of African Union is located.
With a rate of faster growing economic development, the city is home to more than 5 million habitants. There are museums, monuments, religious sites, and historic churches to be visited.
While choosing me as your guide, I will take you on a City tour of the following places; in which your visit with me will be a memorable and unforgettable one.
Sites to visit:
• National museum - where the millions years old hominid fossils are displayed, and the history of Ethiopia since the past 3000 years is well described.
• Ethnographic museum - former palace of Emperor Haile Selassie I, where the country's cultural and religious relics are displayed.
• Mount Entoto - the highest peak in Addis Ababa at an altitude of 3200 meters above sea level, is an ideal place to view over the city of Addis Ababa.
• Merkato - a colorful biggest open market in Africa. Where you will visit the colorful spice market.
We start the visit in the morning, and spend the whole day visiting the capital city. Also we will experience the way Ethiopians prepare their coffee traditionally and Ethiopia's delicious foods.
