Karbakeli Eco Trek is recently explored by local community, Karbakeli Conservation Committee. From this trip we can see Dhaulagiri, Gurju Himal and Annapurna Himalaya range. The trail is full of natural beauty, rich in biodiversity and spirituality.

The indigenous culture and traditions in the villages of Annapurna region and the way of life will be another attraction for the trekkers. We can observe the culture and traditions of local Poon Magar and Gurung people in each village. At Kafal Danda of 2,332 meter, idols of gods and goddesses of the Magar community their Chief God Karbakeli Baba, his two wives Himala and Fimala, elder son Ramchan and youngest son Kulchan have been placed. This trek starts from Nayapul through Ghandruk, Tadapani, Ghorepani and the famous sunrise at Poonhill before submerging into the thickets of jungle leading up to Karbakeli.The Karbakeli Eco-Trek unfolds over eight memorable days, from arrival to departure. The itinerary mirrors that of the famous Ghorepani Poon Hill trek in terms of time frame. While the trails are slightly more challenging compared to the Poon Hill trek, the rewards are immeasurable. The trek takes you through a culturally rich region, offering glimpses into the traditions and lifestyle of the Magar community.Karbakeli Baba: The Chief God of the Magar Community:Central to the culture of the Magar community is the veneration of Karbakeli Baba as their Chief God on Earth. Perched atop Karbakeli Hill, the temple dedicated to Karbakeli Baba stands as a testament to this deep-rooted faith. Located in Annapurna Municipality Word No 8 at Kaphal Danda, which is also known as “Ramchan Kulchan Danda,” this temple sits at an altitude of 2,332 meters. Adorned with prayer flags and featuring a splendid golden statue of Karbakeli Baba, the temple is a place of spiritual significance and breathtaking beauty.

General Itinerary:

Day 1: Pokhara to Beni by jeep/ bus then trek to Aula village

Day 2: Aula to Fulbari via Karbakeli temple

Day 3: Fulbari to Nagi via Mohare Danda

Day 4: Nagi to Lespar

Day 5: Lespar to Purnagaun

Day 6: Purnagaun to Nayapul then back to Pokhara by bus/ jeep
