Everest Base Camp Trek Overview

The Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the most adventurous and breathtaking trekking experiences in the world. This 15-day journey takes you through stunning Himalayan landscapes, historic Sherpa villages, and challenging high-altitude terrain. The trek starts with a thrilling flight to Lukla, followed by a scenic trek through forests, suspension bridges, and glacial valleys. As you ascend, you will pass through Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Everest, before reaching Tengboche Monastery, Dingboche, and Lobuche. The final stretch takes you to Everest Base Camp, standing at the foot of the world's highest peak, followed by an unforgettable sunrise at Kala Patthar.

This trek is best undertaken in the spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) when the weather is clear, and mountain views are at their best. We ensures a well-organized and rewarding adventure to Everest Base Camp, making your journey safe, comfortable, and memorable.

Short Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m), transfer to hotel, trek briefing. Overnight at Kathmandu Suite Home 3 * category hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing & trek preparation – Visit Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3: Fly to Lukla (2,840m), trek to Phakding (2,610m) (3-4 hours). Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 4: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) (5-6 hours). Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 5: Acclimatization day – Hike to Everest View Hotel (3,880m), return to Namche. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 6: Trek to Tengboche (3,860m) (5-6 hours), visit Tengboche Monastery. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 7: Trek to Dingboche (4,410m) (5-6 hours). Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 8: Acclimatization day – Hike to Nangkartsang Peak (5,083m). Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 9: Trek to Lobuche (4,910m) (5-6 hours). Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 10: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m), return to Gorak Shep (5,190m) (8-9 hours). Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 11: Hike to Kala Patthar (5,550m) for sunrise, descend to Pheriche (4,240m) (7-8 hours). Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 12: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) (7-8 hours). Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 13: Trek to Lukla (2,840m) (7-8 hours). Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 14: Flight back to Kathmandu, free time for exploration. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 15: Final departure.

Permits Required

• Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit: Required to enter the Everest region, obtained in Kathmandu or Monjo.

• TIMS Card (Trekkers' Information Management System): Mandatory for all trekkers in Nepal, available in Kathmandu.

• Local Municipality Permit: Introduced by the Khumbu region authorities, this is an additional permit needed for the trek.

• Best Time to Trek: The best trekking seasons are spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) when the skies are clear, and temperatures are moderate.

• Lukla Flight Info: Flights to Lukla may be rerouted via Manthali Airport in Ramechhap during peak seasons due to air traffic.

• Trekking Grade: The trek is challenging but achievable for individuals with good physical fitness. Pre-trek cardio and strength training are recommended.

• Electricity & Charging: Available at most teahouses for an extra cost. Carry a power bank for convenience.

• Internet & Communication: Wi-Fi is available in some teahouses for a fee, and mobile networks work in select areas
