Langtang Gosaikunda Trek -16 Days.
The Langtang Gosaikunda trek in Nepal is a dream route, perfect for those who wish to explore mid-hills and high-altitude lakes. This trek is incredibly beautiful and attracts thousands of both domestic and international travelers every year.
Gosaikunda is a sacred destination for Hindu and Buddhist devotees, who visit the lake for religious purposes. However, it is also a spectacular place for those who want to witness the wonders of nature. If you are a beginner in trekking, the Langtang Gosaikunda trek can be an excellent choice to start with. It is considered a moderate-level trek, suitable for individuals with good physical fitness and a strong enthusiasm for adventure.
The Langtang Gosaikunda trek itinerary spans 16 days. The journey begins in Kathmandu, from where a drive takes you to Syabru Besi in the Rasuwa district. The trail then passes through Langtang Valley, Kyanjin Gompa, and the Lauribina Pass before reaching the sacred Gosaikunda Lake.
On the way back to Kathmandu, the route follows the Chisapani-Sundarijal trail, from where a final drive leads back to the capital. Along the trek, you will encounter charming Tamang villages and breathtaking natural scenery, including forests, rivers, waterfalls, streams, majestic Himalayan peaks, and several lakes, with Gosaikunda being the most significant.
The trail is also known for its rich Buddhist culture and stunning monasteries like Shin Gompa. Throughout the journey, you will see colorful prayer flags fluttering in the wind, Buddhist shrines, and mani walls—large stones engraved with Buddhist mantras—similar to those found on the Everest Base Camp trek.
Langtang Gosaikunda awaits your arrival. If you have an upcoming holiday, this is the perfect time to start planning your treks.
