Aswan Full-Day Tour

Meet your guide at your hotel in Aswan for a full day of exploration.

8:30 AM – High Dam

Duration: 1 hour

The tour starts with a visit to the Aswan High Dam, one of the most impressive engineering feats of the 20th century.

Your guide will explain the significance of the dam in controlling the Nile River, its impact on agriculture, and its role in generating hydroelectric power.

You will have time to take photos and admire the vast landscape

9:45 AM – Unfinished Obelisk

Duration: 45 minutes

Head to the Unfinished Obelisk, located in the northern quarries of Aswan.

This massive granite obelisk, which weighs approximately 1,200 tons, was abandoned during its construction when cracks appeared in the stone.

Your guide will give a detailed explanation about how the ancient Egyptians quarried and transported massive stone blocks.

You can take a short walk around the site and observe the ancient tools used in the quarry.

10:30 AM – Philae Temple

Duration: 2 hours (including boat ride)

Continue to the Philae Temple, located on an island in Lake Nasser.

To reach the temple, you will take a scenic boat ride, which adds to the experience. Your guide will narrate the history of the temple and its significance to the ancient Egyptians, especially dedicated to the goddess Isis.

Once on the island, you can explore the beautifully preserved temple complex, with its impressive hieroglyphs and architectural features.

The visit includes time to walk around the temple, explore the surrounding areas, and take in the views of Lake Nasser.

1:45 PM – Nubian Village Visit (Optional)

Duration: 1 hour (optional)

After lunch, you may have the option to visit a Nubian Village. This gives you a chance to learn about the Nubian culture, traditional homes, and daily life.

The visit includes a short boat ride or drive to the village, where you can interact with locals and take photos of the vibrant architecture and colorful houses.

3:00 PM – Return to Hotel

After a full day of sightseeing, you will be driven back to your hotel in Aswan.

Depending on your preferences and time, you can choose to stop at any other local landmarks or markets before returning.
