Lompoul desert and Saint louis island in 3 days
First we head to Lompoul desert for one night.
After installation in moorish tents well equipped with private restroom,we are going to enjoy dromedary ride on the sand dunes which will be an unforgettable experience before a delicious 3 -course dinner at amoorish style restaurant.
After that you 'll live a digestive dance and songs party round a vamp fire.One night there.
The day after in the morning transfer to saint louis to explore Saint louis and its different neighborhoods for instance Saint louis island by coach ride up to the fishermen 's village and the fishing centre.
Saint louis island was discovered by the portuguese and founded as a city by the French.It was the first one created by the latter in west Africa in 1659.
It'is classified as a world heritage site by UNESCO in 2000.
It had a status of french commune at the same time with Goree island in 1872.
We'll have lunch in this historical site to taste our national dish called Rice and fish or Jolof rice in other words.
On the 3rd day we 'll go to djoudj national bird sactuary for birdwatching located in the northern part of Saint louis island,65 km away .
We'll wont fail to see many wild animals such as wathogs,jackals ,reptiles and sometimes pythons on the arms of Senegal River.
Djoudj national bird park is the only stopover ,a safe nesting and resting place for thousands of migrating birds flying from Europe and north Africa .I think of different species of cormorans, herons, flamingos to name but a few.
After that amazing and wonderful experiences we are going to have a quickie at a local restaurant on the way back to your hotels.
