4 DAYS HIKING CONGO NILE TRAIL

you will leave gisenyi,that leads to past rwanda biggest brewery.that will be to the end of modern developed road and the Beginning of real lake village life .the route will keep you on the Lakeshore the whole day,and you will be running into many fishing boat parked lakeside awaiting their night duties.the first congo Nile trail base camp is a church - built guesthouse on the send beach of cyimbiri.

DAY 2 CYIMBIRI TO KINUNU

with a series of islands on your right yiu will continue hiking on the shores of lake Kivu.in the fishing village of nkora ,boat are being repaired using scrap material's but more importantly for congo Nile trail folk's.you will pass a small market maziba and continue through some coffee plantation on the path to the second base camp in kinunu. this is where one can see whole process of coffee growing from seedlings to process.you can ofcouse also taste the product and buy yourself some packages coffee.

DAY 3 KINUNU TO BUMBA

A long day,and your last Lakeshore fun! you will cross river koko where big boat from rusizi collect sand for the cement factories at the southern tip of lake Kivu.Bumba is another basic place but the stupendous views are something else! you will be able to admire the bay of kibuye and plot new adventure as this is about to end ....

DAY 4 BUMBA TO KARONGI/ KIBUYE

after breakfast hiker can walk to karongi town or opt for a motorboat ride straight to the town of karongi.
