Day 1: Lemosho Gate (2,100m) to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,820m)
Distance: 6 km | Hiking Time: 3–4 hours
Depart Moshi early and drive to Lemosho Gate (3-4 hours).
Complete park registration and begin trekking through lush rainforest, where colobus monkeys and exotic birds can be spotted.
Arrive at Mti Mkubwa Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa (2,820m) to Shira 2 Camp (3,850m)
Distance: 16 km | Hiking Time: 7–8 hours
Trek through the last section of rainforest and ascend into moorland.
Pass through Shira Ridge and continue across the expansive Shira Plateau with breathtaking views of Kibo Peak.
Arrive at Shira 2 Camp, an open area with stunning sunset views.

Day 3: Shira 2 Camp (3,850m) to Barranco Camp (3,960m) via Lava Tower (4,630m)

Trek towards Lava Tower (4,630m), a crucial acclimatization point.
Enjoy lunch at Lava Tower before descending into the Barranco Valley, a lush, scenic area.
Arrive at Barranco Camp, known for its spectacular views of the Barranco Wall.

Day 4: Barranco Camp (3,960m) to Karanga Camp (4,035m)
Distance: 5 km | Hiking Time: 4–5 hours
Start the morning by climbing the Great Barranco Wall, a fun and exciting scramble with rewarding views.
Trek through undulating terrain before reaching Karanga Camp, an important acclimatization stop.
Relax and prepare for the final ascent push.

Day 6: Barafu Camp (4,673m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) – SUMMIT! Then Descend to Mweka Camp (3,100m)

Begin the summit push at midnight, trekking in darkness with headlamps.
Pass Stella Point (5,739m) before reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m) at sunrise!
Celebrate your incredible achievement before descending to Mweka Camp for a well-earned rest.

Day 7: Mweka Camp (3,100m) to Mweka Gate (1,640m) – Return to Moshi
Distance: 10 km | Hiking Time: 3–4 hours
Descend through lush rainforest to Mweka Gate.
Receive summit certificates and meet the team for a celebratory farewell.
Transfer back to Moshi for a well-deserved hot shower and relaxation.
