7:00 AM – Pickup from Your Hotel in Moshi or Arusha

The day begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel, either in Moshi or Arusha. Depending on your departure point, the journey to Arusha National Park takes between 1 hour (from Moshi) and 30-45 minutes (from Arusha). As you travel, you’ll pass through picturesque villages, giving you a glimpse of local life before entering the park.

8:00 AM – Entrance into Arusha National Park

Upon arrival at the park, you’ll stop at the park entrance for permits and fees. Arusha National Park is known for its diverse landscapes and stunning wildlife, including forests, grasslands, and the magnificent Mount Meru.

Morning Game Drive: Exploring the Wildlife

8:30 AM – Game Drive

The morning game drive takes you through the park's rich ecosystems, with a chance to spot animals like giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and rare colobus monkeys. You’ll also have the opportunity to view the occasional predator, such as leopards and lions. Your guide will provide informative commentary on the animals and the park’s biodiversity.

Visit to the Ngurdoto Crater

10:30 AM – Ngurdoto Crater

Next, you’ll visit Ngurdoto Crater, a beautiful volcanic caldera surrounded by lush forest and grasslands. It’s often home to buffaloes, elephants, and various birds, making it a prime location for sightseeing and photography.

Midday: Picnic Lunch and Relaxation

12:30 PM – Picnic Lunch

You’ll take a break for a picnic lunch at one of the park’s scenic spots, surrounded by nature. The lunch usually consists of sandwiches, fruits, and drinks.

Afternoon: Canoe Safari on Momella Lake

1:30 PM – Canoe Safari on Momella Lake

After lunch, you’ll head to Momella Lake, known for its birdlife, including flamingos and pelicans. On the canoe safari, you’ll paddle through the tranquil waters, with the chance to observe wildlife up close, including hippos and a variety of bird species.

Late Afternoon: Walking Safari and Views of Mount Meru

3:00 PM – Walking Safari or Nature Walk

A nature walk will allow you to explore the smaller aspects of the park, like the flora, insects, and birds. You’ll also enjoy beautiful views of Mount Meru in the background.

Evening: Return to Moshi or Arusha

4:30 PM – Return Drive to Moshi or Arusha

The day wraps up with the drive back to your hotel, either in Moshi or Arusha, where you’ll arrive around 5:30 PM or 6:00 PM, depending on your departure point.
