Notes: Arrive early to avoid crowds. Learn about the Toyotomi family and samurai-era Osaka.
Access: Tanimachi 4-chome Station (Tanimachi Line)
2. Shitenno-ji Temple (45 minutes)
Time: 10:45 AM – 11:30 AM
Highlights: One of Japan’s oldest temples, founded in 593 AD. Peaceful gardens and historical architecture.
Notes: Don’t miss the inner precinct and treasure house.
Access: 15 min by subway from Osaka Castle (Tanimachi Line to Shitennoji-mae Yuhigaoka Station)
3. Kuromon Market or Hozenji Yokocho (1 hour)
Time: 11:45 AM – 12:45 PM
Kuromon Market: Street food and local snacks in a traditional market atmosphere.
Hozenji Yokocho: Narrow lanes with stone-paved alleys, and the moss-covered Hozenji Temple—great for a serene finish.
Access: Walkable from Namba Station
