Walking tour in Figueira da Foz:the city with the biggest urban beach in Europe|
Traditionally know for the beach, Figueira da Foz, is also an important national city in other aspects, which we will reveal on this tour.
This walking tour starts on the entrance to the Municipal Market. We'll start the tour precisely at the market, where we'll have the opportunity to visit two small stores selling typical regional products. Next, we'll head to the 16th-century Santa Catarina fortress, the Clock Tower, and right next to it, we'll enjoy the views from a Belvedere, where a beautiful building is located.
The next stop will be the Casino (external visit), the oldest casino on the Iberian Peninsula, which has also played an important cultural role in the life of the town and the country.
Our program also includes the Santos Rocha Municipal Museum (among other opportunities, we'll be able to see the magnificent Phoenician pots and Indo-Portuguese furniture), the Abbey Park, and the Sotto Mayor Palace (external visit). The visit includes a typical Figueira da Foz sweet.
Our visit will end next to the Oasis on the beach.
