Day 1: Bishkek – Burana Tower – Chon-Kemin Valley

Activities:

• Bishkek City Highlights: Start the morning with a city tour including Manas Monument, Ala-Too Square, National History Museum, and Oak Park. Learn about Kyrgyz history, culture, and independence.

• Burana Tower: Explore this 9th–11th century minaret and surrounding mausoleum ruins of the ancient city of Balasagun. Walk among medieval balbals (stone memorials).

• Chon-Kemin Valley: Travel through the lush alpine valley. Enjoy a horse ride, walking tour, or traditional horse-drawn cart ride around the village to experience nomadic life.

• Cultural Experience: Evening dinner with local specialties in a family-run guesthouse.

Day 2: Chon-Kemin – Konorchok Canyon – Issyk-Kul – Bokonbayevo

Activities:

• Konorchok Canyon: Morning hike along the “Little Grand Canyon of Kyrgyzstan” with red sandstone cliffs and spectacular viewpoints. Photography opportunities abound.

• Travel to Issyk-Kul Lake: Scenic drive over mountain passes, with stunning alpine lake views.

• Bokonbayevo Village: Visit a local nomadic family to:

o Watch an eagle hunting demonstration

o Learn about yurt (traditional nomadic tent) construction

o Taste home-cooked Kyrgyz dishes

Day 3: Bokonbayevo – Barskoon – Jeti-Oguz – Karakol

• Barskoon Gorge: See waterfalls and natural alpine scenery, including the “Barskoon Waterfall” and the memorial of cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.

• Jeti-Oguz Gorge: Hike among the famous “Seven Bulls” and “Broken Heart” red rock formations. Learn about local legends and take photos.

• Karakol Town: Explore key sights including:

o Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Cathedral

o Dungan Mosque with Chinese-Muslim architectural style
