This 4-day budget safari gives you a front‐row seat to some of Tanzania’s most unforgettable wildlife havens without sacrificing comfort. Over the next four days, you’ll travel in a private pop-up roof 4×4 jeep, with me as your guide, through Tarangire, the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. You’ll witness dramatic sunrises over the plains, wander among elephants beneath ancient baobabs, and peer into the crater that holds one of Africa’s densest concentrations of wildlife. Your safari begins in Tarangire National Park, where sweeping landscapes adorned with ancient baobab trees host vast elephant herds and an impressive array of birdlife. The first game drive sets the tone with big mammals, iconic scenery, and close encounters with wildlife. The journey then takes you to the legendary Serengeti National Park, where two full days on the endless plains bring the drama of lions, cheetahs, wildebeest migration patterns, and predators in action—offering golden hours of photography and unforgettable moments of awe. Finally, the adventure concludes at the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, where you’ll descend into this natural wonder for a full-day game drive, with high chances of spotting the Big Five, vibrant flamingos, and one of the densest concentrations of wildlife on Earth.
🏨 Accommodations.
On your first night, you will stay at Africa Safari Manyara Escarpment, a cozy, budget-friendly lodge located right on the border of Lake Manyara National Park. It offers a comfortable retreat with warm hospitality, making it an ideal stopover before venturing deeper into the wilderness. Please note, this is the only budget option for nights 1 and 3 of your safari, carefully chosen to give you a balance of comfort and value.
In the heart of the Serengeti, your base will be Friends Serengeti Camp, one of the best midrange tented camps in the region. Here, you’ll enjoy the authentic Serengeti experience with spacious safari tents, attentive service, and close proximity to the wildlife action.
