Day 1 – Fly Addis Ababa to Jinka / Visit the Ari and Banna Tribes
Morning flight from Addis Ababa to Jinka. Meet your local guide and drive to visit the South Omo Museum for an introduction to the region’s diverse cultures. Continue to an Ari village, known for pottery, weaving, and coffee farming traditions.
In the afternoon, drive through the scenic hills toward Key Afer, home to the Banna people, where you can observe their colorful dress, hairstyles, and friendly hospitality.
Overnight in Jinka.

Day 2 – Excursion to the Mursi Tribe & Drive to Turmi
After breakfast, drive through Mago National Park to visit the Mursi tribe, famous for their lip plates and scarification traditions. Spend time learning about their way of life and return to Jinka for lunch.
Continue to Turmi, the heartland of the Hamar people. In the evening, visit a nearby Hamar village and, if the opportunity arises, witness a bull-jumping ceremony—a traditional rite of passage for young men, accompanied by dancing and singing by Hamar women.

Day 3 – Visit Karo and Dassanech Tribes
After breakfast, drive to Korcho village, perched above the Omo River, to visit the Karo tribe, known for their elaborate body painting and symbolic scarification. Enjoy the stunning views of the river valley.
Continue toward Omorate, where you’ll cross the Omo River by local boat to visit the Dassanech tribe, pastoral people who live in the arid lowlands near Lake Turkana. Learn about their unique adaptation to this harsh environment.
Return to Turmi in the late afternoon, stopping at local villages and markets along the way.

Day 4 – Drive Back to Jinka / Fly to Addis Ababa
After an early breakfast, drive back to Jinka, passing through villages of the Banna and Ari people, often seen herding cattle or walking to market.
Catch your flight back to Addis Ababa. Upon arrival, you can enjoy a farewell traditional dinner with live cultural music and dance before your transfer to Bole International Airport for departure.
