Wander with me through narrow alleys, peaceful courtyards, and ancient stones that whisper stories of a Jewish community that once flourished here, making up nearly 10% of the population. Girona was a center for Kabbalah, attracting sages from across the world.

The echoes of that rich history remain alive today. During World War II, Girona was a refuge for European Jews fleeing persecution. The Jewish Quarter here is one of the best-preserved in Southern Europe, and the Museum of Sephardic History offers a fascinating journey through Jewish culture.

Together, we will stroll these historic streets, visit the Jewish Museum, climb to the monastery where the Inquisition’s statutes were written, and pause at the monument to Anne Frank. If you wish, we can also visit the modern synagogue housed in a medieval building.

You will learn where the Jewish community lived, worked, and prayed — and hear about the struggles and persecutions they endured.
