A compact yet breathtaking adventure to Vietnam’s northwest — explore Sapa’s ethnic cultures, hike through picturesque terraced valleys, and reach the legendary “Roof of Indochina” on this unforgettable 2-day journey.

Day 1: Hanoi – Sapa – Ta Phin & Cat Cat Villages | Culture & Landscape

Depart Hanoi after breakfast and embark on a scenic drive to Sapa, nestled at 1,500 meters (4,921 ft) above sea level in Vietnam’s northern highlands. En route, make a brief photo stop at the Vietnam–China border, overlooking the Red River — China on your left, Vietnam on your right.

Upon arrival in Sapa, visit the iconic Sapa Stone Church, a beautiful remnant of French colonial architecture. Built in Gothic Roman style, it features vaulted arches, stained glass windows, and a striking bell tower.

Head out on a guided trek through the lush hills of Lao Cai Province, starting with Tả Phìn Village — a vibrant community of Red Dao, Black Hmong, and Kinh people, set in a green valley surrounded by misty peaks. Experience their daily life, handicrafts, and welcoming spirit.

Continue your walk to the famous Cát Cát Village, home to the Black H’mong and Dzay ethnic minorities. Follow trails through multi-layered rice terraces, cascading waterfalls, and traditional wooden houses. The scenery is spectacular, and the hospitality unmatched.

Return to Sapa town. Overnight at Sapa Charm hotel in Sapa.

Day 2: Fansipan Peak – “Roof of Indochina” – Return to Hanoi

After breakfast, head to the Fansipan Cable Car Station for an unforgettable ascent to the highest peak in Vietnam — Fansipan Summit at 3,143 meters above sea level.

Enjoy a 20-minute panoramic cable car ride, soaring over terraced valleys, misty forests, and cloud-covered ridges.

Arrive at 2,800 meters and take in the serene mountain views. Visit the tranquil pagoda complex, then climb the final 600 stone steps to reach the summit — standing proudly on the “Roof of Indochina.”

Capture amazing photos, breathe in the fresh air, and absorb the majestic alpine surroundings. Descend via cable car and return to Sapa town for lunch.

Begin your drive back to Hanoi. Along the way, enjoy one last look at the majestic northwest mountains, dotted with ethnic villages and panoramic rice fields. Arrive back in Hanoi by early evening.

End of services.
