The museum 'Riga Art Nouveau Centre' is the only museum in the Baltic States that tells about exlcusively the Art Nouveau heritage.
The museum is located at Alberta iela 12, in the building that was built in 1903 as a residential house of the wellknown Latvian architect Konstantīns Pēkšēns.
The museum takes up an entire apartment with an authentic Art Nouveau layout and interior, including finishing, furniture etc.
In the basement an interactive digital exposition tells about the Art Nouveau heritage and everyday life of Riga in the early 20th century.
In Riga there are about 800 Art Nouveau buildings (of different quality and condition) therefore Riga is a true Art Nouveau metropolis!
