Arba Minch City, formally called Gant Garo, is a city and separate woreda in the southern part of Ethiopia located about 500 kilometers from Addis Ababa, at an elevation of 1285 above sea level. The name Árba Minch means "40 springs" and originated from the presence of more than 40 springs.
