The Danakil depression is a mysterious place to visit, having the lava lake of Mount Erta'ale and the colorful minerals displayed on the surface of Dallol - dues to an ongoing internal tectonic activity. Whereas the highest ranges of the Simien Mountains and the Bale Mountains, are places to visit and trek, for its breathtaking and magnificent landscapes.
