A 4-day safari from Arusha shows you Tanzania's northern safari circuit in a nutshell. No two days will be the same. You will go from Tarangire/Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro to Serengeti and back. Your days will be packed with beautiful vistas, a variety of wildlife and some lovely evenings in the accommodation of your choice.

AMAZING VIEWS

Whether you see the Lake Manyara escarpment, the Ngorongoro caldera or the endless sea of grass in Serengati, these magnificient views will be imprinted in your mind for life. Along the way you will spot Maasai folk, huge Boabab trees and incredible wildlife.

WORLD FAMOUS PARKS

You will cover Lake Manyara, Tarangire national parks and/or Ngorongoro crater based on your preferences and suitability for the time of the year. Manyara is famous for its flamingoes and its tree climbing lions. Tarangire is famous for its large herds of Elephants and iconic Boabab trees.

BIG 5 AND MORE

4 days of game drives almost guarantees you plenty of wildlife, from giraffes, elephants, zebras, lions, buffalos, cheetahs, rhinos, hippos, hyenas and a whole lot of other smaller animals and birds.

THE SERENGETI

The world's most famous wildlife park that hosts the most spectacular migration of the Wildebeest. Only a 4+ day safari makes it logistically possible to reach these grasslands.

FLY FROM SERENGETI

We can arrange a light aircraft flight from Serengeti to Arusha, Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam. This will not only save you a lot of time, it will also provide a bird's eye view of the Serengeti.

Is a 4-Day Safari for Me?

There is plenty you can see and do on a well-planned 4-day safari in Tanzania. Every day is different and you never know what nature has in store for you. If you want to add on a short and crisp safari to a Zanzibar beach holiday, a Kilimanjaro climb or a business trip, a 4-day Tanzanian safari is highly recommended. In 4 days you can spend 1-2 nights in Serengeti. So if your time frame is short and you really want to visit this amazing park, then a 4-day safari is the right choice for you. Budget permitting, a fly-in to Serengeti will make the most of your precious time spent in the bush. In any case, you will see plenty of wildlife from the big 5 mammals to birds. You can bring down the cost by choosing the adventurous budget camping, or you can overnight in authentic African tented camps and lodges for truly memorable even

4-Day Safari Itineraries

4 days of safari from Arusha allows you to cover 1 to 3 national parks depending on what you want to explore, how much distance you want to cover and other parameters. Below are some example itineraries. Contact us for a personalized itinerary, detailed information or if you have any questions.

VISIT 2 PARKS

This trip is for wildlife connosieurs who want to spend time in just 2 national parks observing what rushed travelers are not interested in seeing. Examples:

Itinerary 1

Days 1 & 2 - Tarangire

Days 3 & 4 - Lake Manyara (back to Arusha on day 4 late afternoon)

Itinerary 2

Days 1 to 3 - Serengeti (fly in on day 1 to save 5-6 hours on the road)

Day 4 - Ngorongoro crater and back to Arusha

Itinerary 3

Day 1 - Lake Manyara

Day 2 - Fly to Serengeti

Days 3 & 4 - Serengeti (fly back to Arusha on day 4 late afternoon)

VISIT 3 PARKS (EXCL. SERENGETI)

For most travelers visiting the Serengeti is a must. If you are not one of those, and you are happy to get more quality wildlife experience with lesser non-game drives, then this itinerary might be for you.

Day 1 - Arusha to Lake Manyara

Day 2 - Descend to Ngorongoro crater (overnight at Karatu)

Day 3 - Tarangire (overnight inside the park)

Day 4 - Tarangire, back to Arusha

We can also include cultural elements such as a visit to an authentic Maasai village or to the Hazdabe bushmen one of these days.

VISIT 3 PARKS (INCL. SERENGETI)

The following is a special itinerary to observe the great migration during the calving season that lasts from late December to early March.

Day 1 - Arusha to Lake Manyara

Day 2 - Lake Manyara to Ndutu in south Serengeti

Day 3 - Ndutu in south Serengeti

Day 4 - Ndutu to Ngorongoro to Arusha

You can replace Lake Manyara by Tarangire national park, and you can also fly into Serengeti on day 1 if that suits your budget and preferences better.

THE SAFARI COST INCLUDES

Entry fees:

Park Fees: all park fees collected by National Park authorities (conservation fees, camping fees, crew fees, vehicle fee, rescue fee and all others).

Accommodation:

Please note: by default, you will share a room and a tent with your travel companion. If you travel solo on a group expedition, we will room you with a same-sex participant. Single supplement is available upon request.

Meals:

All meals during safari, except when specified otherwise

Water and coffee or tea.

Professional guides licensed by Tanzania National Park Authority. All guides have 7+years of successful experience

Taxes:
