Borghese Gallery

This is a small yet incredible collection almost entirely consisting of masterpieces. One of my favorites especially because it gives us the opportunity to peak through the secrets of a private collection, not just one private collection, but the one of an extremely powerful Cardinal of the 1600, nephew of a Pope, the most acute collector of his time. This incredible museum hosts the largest collection of ealry works (statues) by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, star interpreter and co-founder of Baroque art. Caravaggio is also an incredible artist widely represented in the Borghese Gallery. This is, to me, a must see!
