Flights from Kathmandu to Lukla's Tenzing-Hillary Airport (the gateway to the Everest region) serve as the starting point for the journey, then walk up to Kala Patthar and Everest base camp. The route passes through the Dudh Koshi river valley. On the way, everywhere you turn, snow-capped mountains rise magnificently against a brilliant blue sky.
You will get the opportunity to climb Kala Patthar throughout the walk, where you will reach a height of 5,545m and enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Everest. Enjoy the joyous villages of Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, and Dingboche, and go through other notable Sherpa villages hidden in the Himalayan shadows.
There must be no trek more satisfying than one to the Everest summit. So, why not travel to Nepal to witness four of the world's six tallest peaks that cap the towering ridges by yourself? It is a desolate, unforgiving land but breathtakingly beautiful.
Day to day outline itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel (1,400m)
Day 02: Flight to Lukla (2,846) and trek to Phakding (2,610m) - 3/4 hrs walk
Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) - 6 hrs walk
Day 04: Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Day 05: Trek to Tengboche (3,860m) - 5 hrs walk
Day 06: Trek to Dingboche (4,410m) - 5 hrs walk
Day 07: A day to rest and chill out (4,410m)
Day 08: Trek to Lobuche (4,940m) - 5 hrs walk
Day 09: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) & back to Gorakshep (5,164m) - 8 hrs walk
Day 10: Hike to Kalapatthar (5,545m) and Trek to Pheriche (4,371m) - 7 hrs walk
Day 11: Trek back to Namche (3,440m) - 6 hrs walk
Day 12: Trek back to Lukla (2,846m) - 7 hrs walk
Day 13: Flight back to Kathmandu and farewell dinner in the evening (1,400m) - 45 minutes flight
Day 14: Departure from Nepal
