Gangkhar Puensum, standing tall at 7,570m(7.570km), lies in the beautiful country, Bhutan. The name ‘Gangkhar Puensum’ stands for the ‘ white peak of three spiritual brothers’. Despite being the highest peak in Bhutan, this mountain is off the limits for climbers. Bhutan has its own religious and cultural beliefs that hold its mountains in the upper respect. It is because of this respect that Bhutan has restricted to climb mountains above 6,000m. However, the Gangkhar Puensum Trek is second to none.

People are allowed to trek to Gangkhar Puensum and enjoy its magnificent beauty from afar. Bhutan itself is a beautiful country, and the route followed during trekking to Gangkhar Puensum is evidence of that. The luxurious forests of rhododendron, blue pines, and bamboo gladly welcome its travelers. These forests are also home to many exotic flora and fauna. Rare Himalayan geese reside in these forests. The travelers witness different wildflowers like the blue poppy, silver fir, etc., which adds more beauty to the trekking. Day 1: Arriving at Paro, Bhutan and transferring to Punakha

Day 2: Driving to Thimpu after exploring Paro

Day 3: Exploring Thimpu and travelling to Punakha in the evening

Day 4: Driving to Bumthang

Day 5: Resting for a day in Bumthang and exploring the place

Day 6: Trekking to Chockmey, camp will be set

Day 7: Trekking to Tashisa, camp will be set

Day 8: Trekking to Dollythang, camp will be set

Day 9: Trekking to Tsawa, camp will be set

Day 10: Trekking to Gangkhar Puensum Basecamp

Day 11: Trekking up to the height of more than 5,000m to enjoy view of massive Gangkhar Puensum

Day 12: Trekking to Tsampa Gompa, camp will be set

Day 13: Trekking to Petsho, camp will be set

Day 14: Trekking to Ngang Lhakhang, camp will be set

Day 15: Trekking back to Bumthang through Jakar valley

Day 16: Driving back to Punakha

Day 17: Driving back to Paro

Day 18: Returning home
