2024 will be the 100th anniversary of the death of Franz Kafka, one of the most important writers of the 20th century and a world-famous Prague resident. On the occasion of this anniversary, I would like to offer you a walking tour in Kafka's footsteps. Because "Franz Kafka was Prague and Prague was Franz Kafka". Come with me to explore this deep and intimate connection between the man and the city.
This 3-hour walking tour in takes you through the world of Franz Kafka.During the tour, we will get to know the essential places and buildings where Kafka lived, studied, worked and met with friends, and discover how these places relate to the events of his life and his writing. We will use historical photographs to compare how the sites looked during his lifetime. Short extracts from his work relating to these places will illustrate this connection. We will also visit contemporary monuments to Kafka in Prague..We will take a break at one of Kafka's favourite cafes - your drink is included in the tour price.
