A 5 - Day Safari in Nyungwe Forest

Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, immerse yourself in the hospitality of Rwanda, known as the Land of a Thousand Hills. After customs and immigration, I'll greet you warmly and drive you to your hotel for a relaxing evening and overnight stay, where you'll enjoy a delicious dinner.

Day 2: Journey to Nyungwe National Park

Start your day with a hearty breakfast before embarking on a scenic drive to Nyungwe National Park in the western province. Along the way, explore the rich history of Rwanda with visits to the Royal Palace Museum and Ethnographic Museum in the Southern Province. Learn about traditional Rwandan life and the fascinating history of kingship. After an enroute lunch, arrive at Nyungwe National Park in the afternoon, where you'll have time to unwind and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the park.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking & Canopy Walk

Wake up to the aroma of African coffee and prepare for an exciting day of adventure in Nyungwe Forest. After breakfast, head to the park for a thrilling chimpanzee trekking experience. With 13 species of primates calling Nyungwe home, you'll be surrounded by the sights and sounds of the forest as you search for these fascinating creatures. After trekking, enjoy a delicious lunch before embarking on a canopy walk along a suspended metallic bridge, offering breathtaking views of the forest canopy. Return to your hotel for dinner and relaxation.

Day 4: Colobus Monkey Trek & Tea Plantation Visit

After breakfast, venture into the forest for a colobus monkey trek, where you'll have the opportunity to observe and photograph these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Return for lunch and then set out for a visit to the Gisakura tea gardens, where you'll learn about the tea planting process from cultivation to harvesting. Capture stunning photos amidst the lush tea fields before returning to your lodge for dinner and a restful night's sleep.

Day 5: Explore Lake Kivu and Departure

Start your day with a leisurely breakfast before transferring to Lake Kivu for a memorable boat ride. Explore the natural wonders of the lake and take a nature walk on one of its picturesque islands, home to thousands of bats and a variety of bird species. Marvel at the beauty of Lake Kivu and its surrounding landscapes before returning to Kigali. Finally, I'll accompany you to the airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your unforgettable 5-day adventure in Nyungwe Forest National Park.
