Sloth Tour- Tico Harvest & Cuisine Experience Combo
Sloths and gastronomy? A perfect combination for those who want to spot sloths, Costa Rica's national symbol, as well as other animals on this tour and satisfy their palate with local cuisine. We'll start by departing from your hotel in search of as many sloths as we can find, learning about this fascinating species and its natural history; experts in energy conservation. You can take photos or simply marvel at their slow movements through a telescope. The second part of this tour will take us to a local organic farm where, with a brief introduction to the production of some of the products that will be processed for lunch, we'll understand the hard work of those who dedicate themselves to putting food on our tables.
We'll depart from hotels in the La Fortuna area in search of sloths, checking strategic points where we can observe them, taking a tour of one of the parks with responsible practices. We'll then continue to the local farm. After a welcome cocktail, we'll head to the fields to learn about various crops, including yuca, ñampi, tiquisque, pineapple, and cilantro, among others. Learn how to plant, how long it takes, how to harvest, which part of the plant is used as seed, and even the art of pulling the product. Once harvested, we'll take them to the kitchen where we'll start the washing, peeling, and processing. While they're cooking, it's time to make our own tortillas. Once everything is ready, we'll sit down to enjoy our meal and flavors... ENJOY!
