Day 1: Tirana – Shkodër
Upon arrival in Tirana, we travel to Shkodër, a city rich in history with stunning lake views. Explore the historic castle and enjoy a scenic boat trip on the largest lake in the Balkans. The evening ends with a relaxing walk along the pedestrian street and an overnight stay in Shkodër.
Day 2: Shkodër – Durrës – Berat
In Shkodër, visit the Marubi Photography Museum, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, and the lively pedestrian streets. Then depart for Durrës to explore the ancient amphitheater and historic center. Continue to Berat, a UNESCO World Heritage city, to visit the castle, the Onufri Museum, and the Mangalem and Gorica quarters. End the evening with a wine tasting at a local winery.
Day 3: Berat – Apollonia – Gjirokastër
Travel from Berat to the ancient city of Apollonia, one of Albania’s most important archaeological sites. The day concludes in Gjirokastër, a UNESCO museum city where traditional architecture and history create a unique atmosphere.
Day 4: Gjirokastër – Përmet
Explore Gjirokastër Castle, traditional museum houses, and artisan workshops in the cobblestone bazaar. Continue to Përmet, famous for its traditional sweets (gliko), and relax in the thermal waters of Benja. For adventurers, a hike through the natural Langarica Canyon is available (weather permitting).
Day 5: Përmet – Leskovik – Boboshticë – Korçë
Enjoy a scenic drive to Leskovik with breathtaking views of Mount Nemërçka, the highest peak in southeastern Albania. Visit an artisan distillery known for local rakia and gin, then stop in Boboshticë for a traditional lunch with folk music and a demonstration of lakror, a beloved local specialty. Arrive in Korçë, a city known for its culture, education, and vibrant boulevards.
Day 6: Korçë – Pogradec – Tushemisht – Tirana
In Korçë, visit the Medieval Art Museum, showcasing religious icons and artifacts. Travel to Pogradec for a lakeside walk and learn about traces of one of Europe’s oldest civilizations, over 6,000 years old. Enjoy lunch in Tushemisht before returning to Tirana for an evening at leisure.
Day 7: Krujë – Tirana
Begin the day in Krujë, the historic center of Albanian resistance against the Ottoman Empire. Explore Krujë Castle and the museum dedicated to national hero Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg, stroll through the traditional bazaar, and enjoy a local lunch. Return to Tirana for a panoramic city tour, including Skanderbeg Square, Et’hem Bey Mosque, the Pyramid, and other landmarks.
Day 8: Tirana – End of Tour
