Royal Heritage & Wine Tour from Belgrade
Discover the heart of Serbian history and tradition on this full-day tour from Belgrade — a journey that blends royal legacy, national pride, and fine wine.
First stop: The Village of Orašac
Our day begins in the small but historically powerful village of Orašac, where in 1804 the Serbian leader Karađorđe and his companions launched the First Serbian Uprising against Ottoman rule. This peaceful setting played a pivotal role in shaping modern Serbian identity.
Next: The Royal Town of Topola & Oplenac Hill
We continue to Topola, a town closely linked to the Karađorđević royal family. On the nearby Oplenac Hill, you'll visit the stunning Church of St. George, the official royal mausoleum of Serbia’s modern kings. The church's interior, decorated with over 40 million mosaic pieces, is one of the most beautiful in Europe.
After the tour, you’ll have free time in Topola for a relaxed lunch in one of the local restaurants, where you can taste traditional Serbian cuisine (optional, at your own cost).
Final stop: Kraljevski Podrum – The Royal Wine Cellar
To end the day, we visit Kraljevski Podrum (The Royal Cellar) — a historic winery originally established by King Peter I of Serbia. Here you’ll enjoy a guided wine tasting in an authentic royal setting, with stories about royal winemaking and the unique terroir of the region.
