Day 1,

Arrival and picked up by Vincent, initial orientation takes place at your hotel.

Overnight in Lagos.

Day 2,

Today's visit begins with a trip to the Venice of Lagos, the Makoko floating village, immigrants from Badagry whose major source of livelihood is fishing.

The 78 hectares natural resource Lekki conservation centre. Enjoy a panoramic view of the resource on a canopy walk.

The Lekki arts and crafts market for some take home souvenirs.

Overnight in Lagos.

Day 3,

On this day we shall exit Lagos on a 1 and half hour drive to Abeokuta, the capital city of Ogun state. Abeokuta, is home to several museums and galleries one of which is the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential library.

Nigeria's leadership history will be incomplete without the mention of this ex-general who ruled as a military President and also a democratically elected President.

Abeokuta was formerly known as the capital of the Egba Kingdom and played an important role in the struggle against colonialism. Visit to the Olumo rock, which is one of the country's most popular attractions that's directly connected to the history of the Yoruba people.

Then proceed to Oshogbo.

Overnight in Oshogbo.

Day 4,

Osun Oshogbo shrine and groove a UNESCO world heritage site. This groove is the cradle of the African tradition in the western part of Nigeria for the Yoruba people. Here you'd see sculptors and art works by a woman called Susanne Wenger an Austrian with the help of the locals who came to Oshogbo and lived and married a local, depicting different gods and deities.

Visit the abode of Susanne Wenger.

Visit the fettish market.

Return trip to Lagos and overnight in Lagos.

Day 5,

Today's visit is to one of the busiest open markets in Lagos, the Balogun market. It is the hub for wholesale and retail trades around West Africa, attracting hundreds of thousands of traders and suppliers every week all through the year from neighbouring countries around the West coast.

Proceed to the kalakuta republic the abode of the late afrobeat maestro Fela Anikulapo Kuti now turned into a museum, who through his songs criticized the then military government against harsh economic policies against the masses and citizens.

Overnight in Lagos.

Day 6,

Today we leave early on a 2 hour drive to Badagry, a historical coastal town which played a significant role in the Transatlantic slave trade era in Nigeria. Badagry was a major port for export of slaves and it has several historic sites that recount Nigeria's role in this tragic history.

Visit the Seriki Abass Williams museum a slave returnee.

Proceed to the Nigeria Benin border for immigration protocols and cross over into the Republic of Benin.

Explore the city of Cotonou and visit attractions such as the statue of the female Amazon warrior, the graffiti paintings adorning the city walls along the stretch of the beautiful street housing different country consular's and Palae du.Congres of the Republic of Benin.

Day 7, Abomey / Ganvie

Ganvie is a floating village which could be likened to the Venice of France with a population of over 30,000 inhabitants, built entirely on stilths in the middle of lake Nokuoe. The Tofino people or watermen as they are also known have existed here since the 18th century, with attractions mainly centered on all activities primarily on water ranging from schools, markets and a floating restaurant.

A 3 and half hour drive to Abomey for a visit to the kingdom of Abomey to see the old king's palace turned into a museum. We shall see the war room, the common grave of the 42 wives of king Glele and the throne room.

Overnight in Ouidah

Day 8, Ouidah.

Ouidah is the spiritual capital of the voodoo religion in West Africa and also a major slave trading port during the transfer Atlantic slave trade.

Day 9.

Proceed to the Lome Border and assisted through immigrations.

After immigration protocols, a tour of Lome and its vicinity which includes.

Day 10, Accra

Leave early for Accra. Arrive Accra and check into your hotel.

Relaxation and departure.
