TIKAL: MAJESTY OF THE ANCIENT MAYA

Idioma Inglés, Español
Costo 55 USD por la excursión
Número de participantes Grupo de hasta 10 personas
Duración 4 horas

Get ready for a total immersion into the heart of the Mayan civilization! This full-day tour to Tikal will take you to explore one of the most breathtaking archaeological sites in the world.

As your certified local guide, I will lead you through the dense Petén jungle, where temples and palaces emerge majestically amidst the morning mist and the sound of howler monkeys. You won't just see the iconic structures; you will also understand the history, astronomy, and beliefs of the people who built this ancient metropolis.

We will start early to avoid the heat and enjoy the best wildlife viewing. We will visit the imposing Great Plaza, with Temples I and II, the Lost World (Mundo Perdido), and the stunning Temple IV, from the top of which (if permitted) we will have a panoramic view of the untouched jungle.

This is an experience that connects history with nature. Tikal is also a National Park, so we will keep an eye out for toucans, monkeys, coatis, and spectacular flora.

It's more than a walk; it's a living history lesson!

Key Places to Visit:

Great Plaza: The ceremonial and political heart of Tikal, home to the Temple of the Great Jaguar (Temple I) and the Temple of the Masks (Temple II).

Lost World (Mundo Perdido): One of the oldest and astronomically most important complexes.

Temple IV: The tallest temple (if climbing is permitted), offering unforgettable jungle vistas.

Central and North Acropolis: Interconnected sets of palaces and temples.

Important Additional Information

Transportation: The cost does not include the entrance fee to Tikal National Park (approximately Q150 for foreigners) or round-trip transportation to Flores/El Remate. I can assist you in coordinating transportation.

What to Bring: You will need comfortable walking shoes (lots of walking!), insect repellent, sunscreen, a hat, bottled water, and a snack or money to buy food inside the park.

Jungle Tip: Tikal is vast. You need time and energy to enjoy it. The pace will be comfortable, but packed with interesting information.

Meeting Point: We will meet at the Tikal Visitor Center at [Specify Time, e.g., 7:00 AM] or we can coordinate a pickup point in Flores/El Remate.

I promise you the majesty of Tikal will take your breath away!
