2-Day Desert Tour from Fes to Merzouga with Luxury Camp
Embark on a magical 2-day journey from Fes to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga. Your adventure begins early in the morning as we drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains toward the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where you’ll meet the famous Barbary macaque monkeys in their natural habitat. We then continue to Midelt, the apple capital of Morocco, for a delicious lunch.
Afterwards, the road takes us across the scenic curves of Tizi n’Talghamt, followed by a beautiful stop overlooking the vast Ziz Oasis, stretching along the Ziz River near Errachidia By late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, in time to witness a breathtaking sunset over the Erg Chebbi dunes.
You will spend the night in a luxury desert camp, enjoying a traditional dinner, a Saharan ambience, Berber music around the fire, and a sky full of stars. Early the next morning, wake up to experience the peaceful beauty of the Sahara sunrise, a moment that fills the soul with calm and wonder.
After breakfast, we begin the return journey to Fes, passing through Rissani, known for its historical market and date industry, and Erfoud, the gateway to the desert and famous for its fossils and dates. The road continues back through the Atlas Mountains until we reach Fes.
