Make your travel matter with the Youth Empowerment Support Program in Nepal.

Designed for impact-driven travelers in 2026, this program lets you work alongside local communities to support Nepali youth through education, life skills, and confidence-building activities. Whether you’re leading workshops, mentoring, or organizing creative and sports activities, you’ll help shape future leaders—while learning just as much from them in return.

Detailed Plan

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu & Welcome

When you land at Tribhuvan Airport (KTM), our friendly local helper will meet you. They will hold a sign with your name. We will help with your bags. Then we will take you in a private car to your homestay. Get settled in. Meet your kind host family. Enjoy your first real Nepali dinner. This will likely be the tasty dal bhat. You will start to get used to the lively feel of Nepal.

Day 2: Full Talk and Kathmandu Old City Tour

Your day starts with a full talk. We will go over everything you need to know for a good trip. This includes the goals of the Youth Empowerment Support Program. We will talk about your jobs and what you need to do. We will also cover important cultural rules, health and safety tips, and some basic Nepali words. In the afternoon, we will see Kathmandu's old history. A guide will take you to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will walk up the steps to Swayambhunath Stupa, also called Monkey Temple. From there, you will see wide views of the city. You will also walk through the old areas of Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Day 3-6: Volunteer Work and Living with Locals

This is when you start to make a real impact. Each day, after a home-cooked breakfast, you will go to your project site. Your schedule for 4-6 hours will be busy and interesting. One day you might help teach an English class using fun games. The next day, you could lead a talk on how to write a resume for older students. Afternoons might involve helping with a local clean-up as part of an earth-care plan. Or you might coach a youth football game. Evenings are for learning about the culture. You can help your host family make dinner. You can share stories and look at photos. You will truly become part of the town.

Day 7-9: Weekend Trip to Pokhara

After a good week, you will take a nice drive to Pokhara. This is Nepal's city for fun trips. When you get there, you will see the calm beauty of Phewa Lake. The Annapurna mountains will show clearly on its surface. You can go boating to the Tal Barahi Temple in the middle of the lake. You can look around the busy Lakeside market. Or you can just relax at a cafe. The next morning, you will wake up early. You will drive to Sarangkot to see a truly amazing sunrise over the Himalayas. This includes Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and the famous Fishtail peak.

Day 10-12: Keep Doing Volunteer Projects

When you come back to your town, you will feel a stronger link to it. You will understand its needs better. This week, you can build on what you started earlier. You might help students start a small project they planned during your leadership talk. Or you might see how much better they speak English because of your lessons. This is when the lasting good of your work shows most clearly. It feels very good to see.

Day 13: Old Cities Tour: Bhaktapur and Nagarkot Sunset

Today, you will go back in time to the great city of Bhaktapur. You will see its well-kept Durbar Square. You will be amazed by the detailed 55-Window Palace. You will also see artists working in Pottery Square. In the late afternoon, we will drive up to Nagarkot, a hill town. As the day ends, you will watch a great sunset. Its colors will spread over the wide Himalayan mountains. This is a perfect, calm end to your cultural journey.

Day 14: Goodbye and Home

Enjoy one last breakfast with your host family. Say goodbye and share contact details. If your flight time allows, you might have time for some last-minute gift shopping. We will then take you to the airport for your flight home. You will leave with many good memories. You will also know that you helped the young people of Nepal in a good way.
