The Hammar people, a beautiful tribe in the Omo Valley, are mainly pastoralists who breed cattle, goats, and sheep. They share a similar respect for cattle as their close neighbors. Who is using clay to shape their hairstyles? During your two nights in Turmi, you'll have a chance to see the unique practice of “bull-jumping,” which every young man must do before marriage and becoming a man. Turmi – Dassanech – Turmi

In the morning, after breakfast, we drive to Omorate village to visit the Dassanech tribe. You will be guided to a village located in a remote area of the Omo Valley, by the bank of the Omo River. Noticing the very hot weather in this area, you'll understand the Dassenech lifestyle. The Dassenech have adapted to nature and changing weather conditions; at the right time of year, they go out hunting for crocodiles, which are plentiful here. Day 03:

Turmi – Karo – Jinka

In the morning, after breakfast, we drive to the Karo tribe, who live near the Omo River. They are closely related to the Hammar tribe but have their own culture and language. They are famous for their body painting. After visiting the Karo tribe, we’ll return to Turmi for lunch, then continue to Jinka. On the way, we stop at different villages, including Benna, and visit the colorful KeyAfar market, considered the best in the Omo Valley. The drive to Jinka continues afterward. Overnight: Jinka Nasa Hotel.
