The Northern Circuit route starts from the western side of Kilimanjaro on the Lemosho trail, but unlike all the other west-approaching routes, it traverses the mountain around the quiet and rarely visited northern slopes. It is the longest route in terms of time and distance, but it offers stunning scenery and less traffic from other climbers and thus an amazing journey.
