Glass & Ceramics Portuguese route
The porcelain route will lead you to the most amazing places, such as Porto, Lisbon, Braga, Viana do Castelo, the city Aveiro and its one-of-a-kind tile-covered train station; the city of Ovar, considered an open-air tile museum and the uniquely colourful Válega church; and the iconic factories of worldwide prestigious brands Vista Alegre and Bordallo Pinheiro!
Well, I chose to visit Vista Alegre, the internationally well known best Portuguese brand of porcelain and ceramics.
After that we will follow down the country to visit the Glass Museum in the Stevens Palace, where a genuine 17th century factory existed before being later acquired by a British family that helped to grow this fantastic handmade industry.
In between we stop for lunch in a local restaurant to enjoy one of the most famous and tasty Portuguese dishes, the Leitão - roasted piglet - served with a fresh sparkling local wine.
